Sanada Nobuyuki (1566 – November 12, 1658) was a renowned Japanese samurai of the Sengoku period, the eldest son of Sanada Masayuki and elder brother of the famous warrior Sanada Yukimura. During the turbulent Warring States era, Nobuyuki gained a reputation for his exceptional strategic foresight and unwavering loyalty. He played a critical role in the conflict between the Tokugawa and Toyotomi clans. Despite the complexities of the war-torn period, Nobuyuki remained steadfast in his commitments. Following the Siege of Osaka, where his brother Yukimura tragically fell in battle, Nobuyuki faced deep sorrow and inner conflict over the unavoidable loss of his kin.

During the Osaka Campaign, Nobuyuki aligned himself with Tokugawa Ieyasu, a choice that set him at odds with his brother. Yet, he never compromised the honor of the Sanada family.
